A well known team-level construct that research shows can predict a team’s effectiveness is called “Commitment”.
The idea is that certain active measures can be taken by team members that are intended to create a overall team climate where individuals are expected to prioritize the work on the team very high when compared with other work that is on their own to do list. This level of team-above-self commitment by all parties on a work team greatly improves team outcomes.
